Floma vs Zapier

Zapier connects cloud apps. Floma is an AI command center that controls your entire digital environment—your Mac, your files, and all your cloud apps.

Zapier

A cloud-based workflow builder. You connect cloud apps using triggers and actions. Build workflows with a visual editor. Great for connecting SaaS tools, but has no access to your computer or local files.

Floma

An AI that sits on your Mac and controls everything. Tell it what you want in plain English. It generates and executes workflows that span your local system and cloud services. One AI has access to your entire digital environment.

Simple commands Zapier literally cannot do:

"Upload presentation.pdf from my Desktop to Google Drive"

Zapier has zero access to your Mac's file system. It cannot read files from your Desktop, Downloads, or any local folder.

"Create a Google Doc from the text in report.txt"

Can't access local files, can't read their contents. Zapier only works with data already in the cloud.

"When GitHub PR is merged, save the diff to ~/Documents and post summary in Slack"

Can handle the GitHub to Slack part, but cannot save anything to your Mac. Fundamentally cloud-only.
